Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 36 or 48 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including post-trauma, surgical, and medical comorbidity patients
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary and interdisciplinary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and regulations
- Float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit
- Perform physical care duties including lifting, turning, bending, and stooping; must be able to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold a Missouri RN license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient Med Surg/Orthopedics experience
- Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required for assignments running November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Dedicated orthopedic nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Demonstrated teamwork, dependability, and flexibility in a fast-paced inpatient environment
