Travel RN – Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and triage on an active Labor & Delivery unit
• Circulate for C-section procedures and support antepartum patients
• Perform first-hour newborn care (excluding admission assessment, eyes, and thighs)
• Provide breastfeeding assistance and patient education
• Monitor fetal heart rates using intermediate fetal monitoring techniques and unit equipment including Novii monitors
• Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditech EMR systems

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Current Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (within previous 2 years) — required; candidates without this will not be considered
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification — required
• Current BLS certification — required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience at facilities with more than 3,000 births per year
• Strong patient-centered care approach with emphasis on patient preferences
• Comfort working within a culturally diverse environment
