Travel RN – Telemetry (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | 36 or 48 hours per week guarantee available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care for cardiac and telemetry patients utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with level of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and available resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a telemetry or related nursing specialty
• Ability to work every other weekend as required
• No on-call requirement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Prior travel nursing experience in a telemetry or cardiac setting
