Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving an adult patient population
• Manage post-surgical care for patients with diagnoses including abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric surgery
• Operate specialty equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes
• Float to other units as required based on staffing and census needs
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Locals are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-surgical patient populations including bariatric and orthopedic cases
• Familiarity with nasogastric and enteral feeding tube management
• Ability to adapt to variable scheduling, as block scheduling is not guaranteed
