Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Women's Services)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Rotating Weekends | No Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full spectrum maternal care within a Women's Services (Labor & Delivery) unit on a 17-bed floor
• Circulate and recover patients undergoing Cesarean Sections
• Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring in accordance with clinical standards
• Maintain patient ratios in compliance with AWHONN standards
• Float to NICU as required by unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS certification required prior to start
• ACLS certification required prior to start
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required prior to start
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required prior to start
• All clinical staff working in New Mexico must be fingerprinted before hire; travelers may begin on a 14-day waiver while results are pending but must be supervised during that period
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience preferred
• Experience with full spectrum maternal care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum
• Familiarity with NICU float responsibilities
• Experience circulating and recovering Cesarean Section patients
