Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care to telemetry patients including those with MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and med-surg overflow, utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Manage and monitor cardiac drips per appropriate protocols, assessing for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care delivered accurately and in a timely manner
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education; identify issues and connect with available resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage the clinical situation; maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 (occasionally 6:1)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment or valid compact license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a telemetry or related nursing specialty
• Ability to float to other units when needed
• Must comply with dress code: ceil blue scrubs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience managing cardiac drips in a telemetry or step-down setting
• Familiarity with med-surg overflow patient populations
