Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every 3rd Weekend | Holidays as Needed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility, including post-stroke, post-aneurysm, and post-operative surgical patients
• Perform clinical assessments including vital signs, interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, and patient health questionnaire and allergy history
• Conduct specimen collection procedures including capillary draws, phlebotomy, throat cultures, urine (UA clean catch), and proper specimen labeling; perform dressing changes and set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays
• Manage telephone triage and pharmacy calls including patient refill requests
• Document and navigate patient records using EPIC EMR
• Float to other campuses within the health system as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience — first-time travelers will not be considered
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility — local candidates are not eligible; current driver's license required to verify address

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Acute Care Rehabilitation nursing experience
• Experience caring for neurological patient populations (stroke, TBI, spinal cord injury)
• Comfort with floating across multiple campus locations
