Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Orthopedic/Neurology unit with a 5:1 RN-to-patient ratio
- Care for patients undergoing total joint procedures including knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, as well as spine surgery
- Utilize and document in Meditech EMR
- Operate and manage orthopedic equipment including immobilizers, braces, and cold treatment devices
- Collaborate with charge RNs, patient care technicians, and unit secretaries to deliver high-quality, team-based care
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid for the state of Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of current Orthopedic RN or Medical/Surgical experience in a hospital setting
- BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Orthopedic and/or spine surgery experience strongly preferred
- ACLS certification
- Energetic, empathetic personality with a good sense of humor and strong team collaboration skills
