Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 36 Hours/Week (Three 12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite | Every 3rd Weekend Rotation | Holidays as Needed | Low census possible; call back minimum of 2 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care utilizing an integrated knowledge base of interpersonal, physiological, and psychosocial frameworks with strong critical thinking skills
• Monitor patients including EKG, invasive pressure, blood pressure, and SaO2; manage endotracheal tubes, tracheostomies, and patients on mechanical ventilation
• Demonstrate clinical competency in conscious sedation and care of patients in the post-anesthesia period
• Calculate and administer drug doses based on physician orders using aseptic practice skills
• Utilize department equipment including bedside cardiac monitors, telemetry, infusion systems, and communication devices; Epic EMR training provided
• Float to Med/Surg as needed based on unit census

Required Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN License
• AHA or ARC BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• TNCC Certification
• PALS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication management system
• Familiarity with GE bedside cardiac monitors, telemetry, and Alaris infusion systems
• Experience with LifePak and patient lift equipment
• Background in managing high-volume emergency department environments
