Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Days, 7A–7P)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care on a 17-bed Medical Surgical / Swing Bed unit serving adult and geriatric patients (18+, predominantly 65+)
• Deliver observation and swing bed services within a critical access hospital setting that emphasizes teamwork and collaborative care
• Perform and manage PICC/CVC line care and wound care as core clinical duties
• Maintain a maximum patient ratio of 1:6 and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT, OT, Speech, and Respiratory Therapy
• Utilize the Paragon EHR system for documentation and patient management
• Float as needed between Med-Surg units at two facility locations

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in North Carolina
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical or equivalent nursing experience
• Proficiency in PICC/CVC management and wound care
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a critical access hospital or small-community hospital environment
• Familiarity with progressive care or swing bed / observation patient populations
• Experience with the Paragon EHR system
• Comfort working with geriatric patient populations (65+)
