Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location

Lubbock, TX | Children's Hospital / Level II Pediatric Trauma Center

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
  • Work within a 181-bed children's hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center environment
  • Commit to weekend shifts as required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
  • Fulfill holiday coverage obligations as outlined in the contract schedule
  • Maintain compliance with all facility policies, documentation standards, and unit protocols

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals accepted at a lower rate)
  • 2 professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience in a high-acuity or trauma-designated hospital setting
  • Familiarity with Labor and Delivery workflows in a children's or women's specialty hospital
  • Strong adaptability and willingness to support sister facilities nearby if needed
