Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Three 12-Hour Shifts per Week | 36–40 Guaranteed Hours | Weekend Rotation Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-risk obstetrical bedside nursing care in a 24-bed Labor & Delivery unit
- Circulate in cesarean section procedures within the Labor & Delivery area
- Recover high-acuity obstetrical patients following vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and D&C procedures
- Monitor patients using GE fetal monitoring equipment and document care in Meditech and CPN systems
- Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 (Labor & Delivery) and 3:1 (OBED triage) as estimated by the unit
- Float to the antepartum unit within the Women's Hospital as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience
- Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certificate required
- Demonstrated experience with high-risk obstetrical patients, C-section circulation, and high-acuity post-delivery recovery
- Ability to meet on-call requirements as discussed during the interview process
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with OBED triage workflows
- Familiarity with Meditech and CPN documentation systems
- Experience floating to antepartum units within a Women's Hospital setting
