RN – Medical Surgical / Telemetry, Float Pool

Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Float across up to 5 different Medical Surgical / Telemetry units as needed
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Pass an on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or better (2 attempts allowed)
• Administer and manage IV therapy in accordance with unit protocols
• Adapt quickly to varying patient populations and unit environments
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 2+ years of recent acute care experience
• Proficiency with Meditech and EPIC electronic health record systems
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Candidates residing less than 50 miles from the facility will be classified at a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in a float pool or multi-unit setting
• Previous experience floating across Medical Surgical / Telemetry units
• Strong adaptability and ability to transition seamlessly between different care environments
