Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients in accordance with facility protocols and standards
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
• Participate in orientation and onboarding activities as scheduled by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (AHA) – required and must be documented
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must not have been employed by the facility or its affiliated health system within the past 12 months
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (based on driver's license)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Heparin drip experience
• Experience working in a Level 3 trauma center environment
