Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level II NICU and Special Care Nursery (SCN) setting, managing neonates 28 weeks gestational age and above
• Care for patients with complex diagnoses including respiratory distress syndrome, PPHN, meconium aspiration, hyperbilirubinemia, IUGR, NAS, sepsis, and more
• Manage and monitor advanced respiratory support including ventilators (Puritan Bennett 840, Draeger, Vision BiPAP, V60), CPAP, RAM, and Vapotherm nasal cannulas
• Maintain and monitor PICC lines, UACs, UVCs, chest tubes, and perform or assist with exchange transfusions and passive cooling
• Participate in bedside shift report following shift huddle; on occasion assume charge nurse responsibilities based on census
• Complete a mandatory pass/fail Sim Lab assessment (Foley catheter insertion) on Day 1 of orientation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Level II NICU experience required; experience must be recent (within the past 6 months)
• Active RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Must fulfill weekend shift requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday considered weekend for night shift)
• Must participate in holiday rotation alongside permanent staff

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level III NICU experience strongly preferred
• STABLE certification preferred
• Familiarity with GE monitoring systems and listed ventilator platforms
• Experience with SCN patient population including NAS, blood transfusions, and lower-acuity NICU diagnoses
