Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a progressive care/step-down setting managing high-acuity cardiac diagnoses including CHF, dysrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, cardiogenic shock, heart transplant, LVADs, and angioplasty
- Administer and monitor vasoactive drips and cardiac medications including Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin drips
- Perform and manage peritoneal dialysis for appropriate patient populations
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status; clinicians will be required to pass a proctored, written rhythm identification test upon start (two attempts allowed)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care across a complex cardiac patient population
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license – must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 18 months of IMC/PCU/Step-Down experience within the past 3 years
- Peritoneal dialysis experience required
- Insulin drip management experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local travelers
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for LVAD patients and post-cardiac transplant populations
- Familiarity with advanced cardiac pharmacology including vasoactive and diuretic drip management
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
