Registered Nurse – Psychiatric / Behavioral Health (Float Pool)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (11:00–23:30) | 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Float across all 19 inpatient behavioral health units serving children, adolescent, and adult patient populations as scheduling requires
• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and apply strong clinical judgment across diverse psychiatric settings
• Demonstrate delegation and leadership skills; RNs may be required to serve as Charge RN during a shift
• Utilize the Sunrise (Allscripts) EMR system for accurate and timely charting
• Adhere to all facility compliance requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent RN license in hand at time of submittal (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 6 months to 1 year in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Fingerprinting must be completed in the state of Maryland via LiveScan prior to start date
• Must pass facility drug screen on first attempt; facility does not accept medical marijuana cards or any failed drug screens regardless of prescription status
• Local candidates are welcome

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Allscripts Sunrise EMR
• Prior experience working with multi-age psychiatric populations including pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients
• Demonstrated charge nurse or leadership experience in a behavioral health setting
