Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 4x10 Hours (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | On-Site | Weekend coverage varies (approximately every 3–4 weekends); on-call responsibilities include one overnight weekday call shift every other week (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and one weekend call shift approximately every 4–6 weeks (Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and special procedures, including CT-guided biopsies, fistulograms, GJ-tube placements, lower extremity angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and Y90 procedures
- Support nuclear medicine and stress testing procedures as needed
- Monitor and assess patient status before, during, and after procedures, applying critical care knowledge as required
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
- Participate in on-call rotation to ensure adequate coverage during evenings and weekends
- Float to sister facilities nearby when required by staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses considered for quick-start candidates)
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology or related RN experience
- ICU experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for a travel contract
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3–5 years of Interventional Radiology RN experience preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system
- Experience with a broad range of IR procedures including Y90 and angiography
