Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Every Other Holiday Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across all emergency diagnoses with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Perform IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs; administer IV vasopressors
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and operate CPAP/BiPAP equipment
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage dysrhythmias
• Care for patients presenting with CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI, gunshot wounds, and orthopedic trauma
• Perform triage, maintain isolation precautions, and float within skillset as required

Required Qualifications

• Active New York Single State RN license required at time of submission (NY is not a Compact state; pending licenses not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required — must include valid NIHSS in submission
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience required
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pediatric emergency care and pediatric spinal cord injury
• Familiarity with specialized equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment
• Background in trauma nursing including gunshot wounds and orthopedic trauma
