Travel RN – Cardiac Specialty Unit / Telemetry

Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care on a 26-bed Cardiac Specialty Progressive Stepdown Unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Monitor and manage cardiac patients, including those post-procedure
• Perform titration of IV medications including cardiac drips, heparin, and insulin
• Operate and monitor pacemakers and related cardiac equipment
• Document patient care using the Meditech electronic health records system
• Float as needed to Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and OSS units per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Kansas or compact licensure
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
• Ability to meet self-scheduling requirements, including weekend shifts (three weekend shifts per four-week period on day shift)
• Adherence to required dress code: royal blue scrub top and black pants

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing cardiac patients post-procedure
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Background in progressive care or cardiac stepdown settings
