Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit, including occasional pediatric surgical patients (e.g., ENT or orthopedic cases)
• Work 12-hour variable shifts on a rotating schedule
• Float to alike units at alternate facilities as needed, which may be prescheduled
• Be available for on-call assignments; callback minimum is 2 hours
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Comply with all facility infection control policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline flu and COVID vaccination during flu season

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross
• PALS certification through AHA
• Minimum of 1.5 years of Medical-Surgical experience (2 years preferred)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Additional RN experience in other acute care specialties
• Familiarity with pediatric surgical patient populations
• Prior experience with EPIC charting system
