Progressive Care Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shift | 36 hours per week (after initial orientation week) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care within a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit, including both telemetry and step-down ICU patients
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip reading
• Conduct fingerstick blood sugar monitoring and related patient assessments
• Utilize unit equipment including Meditech charting, Pyxis medication dispensing, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring systems
• Float to other acute care units within the facility, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active State of Hawaii RN License required by start of assignment
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Registered Nurse (RN) with Progressive Care or telemetry background

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Progressive Care and telemetry nursing experience strongly preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Current PALS certification preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
