Contract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as hospital float pool staff, rotating across multiple units including Emergency Department, ER Hold, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU
- Provide direct patient care within scope of practice across assigned units, adapting to varying patient populations and acuity levels
- Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of up to 1:7 in Medical-Surgical settings
- Remain flexible to facility scheduling needs; no schedule requests can be accommodated post-offer or onsite
- Work required major holidays as determined by the number falling within the assignment period
- Complete all compliance onboarding requirements and orientation modules within designated deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
- Must be flexible with scheduling — no schedule requests can be requested, approved, or accommodated due to float pool assignment
- All RTO must be finalized at time of submission; maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed prior to start date
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
- Experience in Emergency Department, Telemetry, or PCU/Stepdown settings
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to varying patient care environments and acuity levels
