Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address all barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing and ordering, patient and family training, home exercise program issuance, and planning for continuing services
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions effectively, demonstrating flexibility in caseload management including coverage acceptance and plan-of-care communication
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including daily notes, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Participate in the student program as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Texas
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and ethical standards
• Competency in medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an inpatient or acute rehabilitation setting
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration and discharge planning processes
• Experience supervising or mentoring students in a clinical setting
