Contract | Days | 13 Weeks | Four 9-hour shifts and one 4-hour shift per week
Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry
- Ensure all care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required
- Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing evaluations
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Texas
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
- Experience in orthopedics
- Ability to complete continuing education requirements as mandated by the state
- Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Familiarity with functional quality indicator assessments and outcomes-based documentation
- Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students
