Travel RN – PCU (Progressive Care Unit)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 or 5:1 patient ratio
• Apply EKG interpretation skills to monitor and respond to cardiac changes in patients
• Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care
• Document patient information and care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Assist with or support occasional procedures such as paracentesis or thoracentesis
• Float to ICU or Med-Surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Strong EKG interpretation skills
• Critical thinking skills essential for PCU-level patient care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience titrating cardiac medications
• Team-oriented work style with ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced unit environment
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
