Job Title
Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (12-Hour Days)

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Minimum 2 weekends per month
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intermediate/step-down setting managing a diverse patient population including general medical (DMII, GI, GU, sepsis, stroke, AKI, CHF, pulmonary edema, anemia, shock, hypoxia) and cardiac diagnoses (PCI pre/post care, MI, AFib with RVR, NSTEMI, chest pain)
- Perform high-volume post-cath lab procedure care including TR band management, stent placement post-care, and q15-minute checks on fresh cath patients (no sheaths, no art lines)
- Manage and titrate cardiac and diuretic drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, heparin, digoxin, Bumex, and Lasix
- Perform trach care, chest tube management, and central line maintenance; monitor and care for patients on BiPAP and high-flow O2
- Read, interpret, and measure cardiac rhythms as a core clinical competency
- Deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive care to a high-volume Spanish-speaking population and underserved/charity care patients; may care for oncology patients (chemo administration not required unless specified)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Washington State or compact equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of PCU/IMC/Step-Down experience; first-time travelers considered with at least 2 years total RN experience including 1 year PCU
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency with cardiac rhythm interpretation, BiPAP/high-flow O2 patient management, and titratable drip administration
- Experience with Epic EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with cath lab procedures including TR band application and stent placement post-care protocols
- Experience caring for oncology patients (leukemia, neutropenia, etc.)
- Spanish language proficiency a plus given the patient population served
- Prior travel nursing experience in a step-down or PCU environment
