Orangeburg, SC | Acute Care Hospital
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (6:30 AM–3:00 PM / 7:00 AM–3:30 PM depending on campus) | Rotating on-call 7 days a week | Call only on weekends and holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Rotate between two campuses performing general Nuclear Medicine and Cardiology procedures alongside full-time staff
- Perform a broad range of nuclear medicine studies including bone scans (whole body and 3-phase), HIDA scans, GI bleed, lymphoscintigraphy, parathyroid imaging, thyroid uptake, renal scans with Lasix, lung scans, MUGA scans, WBC infection imaging, and MPI stress tests
- Float between General Nuclear Medicine and Cardiology service lines as needed
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage seven days a week, including weekends and holidays
- Document and chart using Epic electronic health records system
- Adhere to all radiation safety protocols; radiation badge must be supplied by the staffing agency
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certification required
- Active South Carolina QRSA (SCQRSA) state license in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography required
- BLS certification required
- Radiation badge must be provided by the staffing agency prior to start
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard terms; candidates within 60 miles will be considered at a reduced rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ARRT(CT) certification is a plus but not required
- Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in a related field preferred
- Experience floating across multiple campuses or service lines
