Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Circulate in all surgical specialty areas, which may include Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Dental
• Obtain and develop scrubbing experience across specialty areas
• Prepare for and respond to emergency surgical cases on short notice, including varied and on-call hours
• Maintain required certifications throughout the duration of employment, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CNOR, and TNCC

Required Qualifications

• Valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory — an Arizona state license is not required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing and/or operating room experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association — required at time of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association — required at time of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association — required within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification — required within 6 months of hire
• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) by the Competency and Credentialing Institute — required within 1 year of hire
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) — required within 2 years of hire

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience circulating across multiple surgical specialties
• Scrub technician experience or willingness to develop scrubbing skills
• Comfort working in a culturally diverse community setting
