Contract | Rotating Shifts (12-hour shifts available across days, evenings, and nights) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced Emergency Department, including trauma bays, OBS, Fast Track, and triage areas
• Manage and care for patients presenting with trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, and strokes, including TPA administration
• Administer and monitor all common drips associated with a Level I Trauma environment
• Read and independently interpret telemetry/cardiac monitor strips
• Float to the OBS unit and a freestanding ER location at least once per week as needed
• Complete a pass/fail open-book skills exam during orientation with a minimum passing score of 90%

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Recent Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal (used to verify radius eligibility)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates may not be currently employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity Health
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; compliance is required as a condition of the contract
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront (7 days or fewer per 13-week contract); additional time off requests will not be approved

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
• Experience in a Pediatric-certified or Comprehensive Stroke Center environment
• Familiarity with ICU-level and trauma 1:1 patient ratios
