Contract | Days & Nights Available | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across a combined 31-bed Stepdown and Medical/Surgical floor unit serving a diverse patient population including MedSurg, Cardiac, IDDM, COPD, Trauma, Orthopedic, ENT, and Urology cases
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 on the Stepdown unit and 1:5–6 on the Medical/Surgical floor
• Titrate drips in the Stepdown setting; manage Heparin drips on the floor
• Monitor, read, and interpret telemetry strips independently; telemetry techs are available on unit
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Charge Nurses on each shift, an in-house House Supervisor available 24/7, nurse aides, and Respiratory Therapy available in-house 24/7
• May be expected to work holidays as needed throughout the contract

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• BLS certification (required, must be current/unexpired)
• ACLS certification (required, must be current/unexpired)
• Ability to titrate drips, including Heparin infusions
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care unit setting
• Background in Medical/Surgical nursing with exposure to cardiac, trauma, or orthopedic patient populations
• Experience working with telemetry monitoring in an acute care environment
