Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and manage critically ill cardiovascular patients, responding to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC EMR
- Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census, within demonstrated competency areas
- Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements prior to and during assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are not eligible (Adult ICU designation applies)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience with cardiovascular monitoring and advanced hemodynamic assessment
- Familiarity with travel nursing compliance requirements and pre-assignment onboarding processes
