Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 38-bed mixed Med Surg ICU environment, including medical, neurosurgery, and cardiovascular surgery patients
- Maintain patient ratios of 2–3:1 and utilize equipment including ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring
- Administer medications safely and accurately; all nurses providing direct patient care are required to pass a medication and math competency exam with a minimum score of 90% prior to assuming medication administration responsibilities
- Document patient care using the EPIC EMR system
- Work every other weekend as part of the expected schedule
- Expected 36 hours per week on night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of ICU nursing experience
- Ability to float to Med Surg and Stepdown units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CCRN or SCRN certification
- Experience with open heart recovery
- Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
- Team-oriented, collaborative approach to patient care
