Travel – Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Projected Start: October 5, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Telemetry unit with a standard ratio of 4:1 (with cath recovery) up to a maximum of 6:1, with potential stretch to 7:1
- Monitor patients using remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps; document care using the Meditech system
- Assist with or support procedures performed on the unit including chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis
- Apply knowledge of chest tube management and dysrhythmia recognition in the care of telemetry patients
- Adhere to unit-specific policies including Telemetry Monitoring Policy and Stroke Policy
- May be required to float to Ortho/Med-Surg as agency staff floats first per unit policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Scrubs required; camouflage print not permitted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with remote telemetry monitoring systems
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system
- Knowledge of chest tube management and dysrhythmia training
- Experience with bedside procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis support
