Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Travel Contract)

Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Weekend availability required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Telemetry/PCU Cardiac Unit with patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
- Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and continuous pulse oximetry assessment
- Conduct respiratory and cardiac assessments and manage high fall risk patient populations
- Perform blood transfusions, IV starts, and Midline/central line removals
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Float to Med/Surg, Telemetry, PCU, and ED Hold areas as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid for practice in Texas
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Must be available for all weekends as required by the unit
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIH Stroke Prepared certification
- PALS certification
- Prior ICU, Telemetry, or PCU experience
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, and highly engaged professional
