Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations (60-minute evals, 45-minute treatments) and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient goals and physician direction
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
- Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations as assigned
- Adhere to the applicable State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
- Support organizational performance improvement initiatives and contribute feedback through staff meetings, focus groups, or direct supervision channels
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Maryland
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist (new graduates are not eligible for this position)
- Experience operating independently in a solo-site outpatient setting
- Ability to complete documentation, goal writing, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
- Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and adherence to all clinic policies and procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in an outpatient orthopedic or rehabilitation setting
- Familiarity with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity
- Active involvement in continuing education and professional development activities
