Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call required approximately every 5th weekend and one night per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as a procedural RN within an Interventional Radiology / Neuro IR setting at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching facility
- Assist with interventional radiology and neuro IR procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols throughout
- Participate in on-call rotation, including approximately every 5th weekend and one night per week; must be able to respond within 30 minutes during on-call periods
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Wear and maintain a radiation monitoring badge at all times while in applicable procedural areas — badge must be supplied by the staffing agency prior to start
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; South Carolina RN license required prior to start (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application or confirmed ability to complete the SC walk-through process)
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Must reside within 60 miles of the facility; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Neuro IR experience strongly preferred
- Critical care background, particularly in a neurological or neurovascular setting
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
