Contract | Travel | Days | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 13-Week Assignment | Must work 2 weekend shifts per month on a rotating basis
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one physical therapy treatments to patients across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings
- Work across multiple floors and units within a large hospital environment, including trauma, neuroscience, ICU, burn, oncology, and orthopedic/spine floors
- Utilize therapy equipment including walking aids, bikes, parallel bars, and treadmills to support patient rehabilitation
- Document patient care and progress using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary therapy team including OT and ST staff under day-shift supervision
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital and/or inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Candidates without acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience will not be considered
- Candidates whose experience consists solely of skilled nursing facilities, outpatient settings, pediatrics, or school settings will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-acuity environment such as a Level 1 Trauma Center, neuroscience unit, ICU, burn unit, or oncology setting
- Familiarity with Meditech or similar hospital EMR systems
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume therapy department
