Travel RN – Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on a 40-bed BMT unit, maintaining estimated patient ratios of 1:3 (target) to 1:4 (stretch)
Administer and monitor chemotherapy in accordance with unit protocols; ONS Chemotherapy Certification required
Perform bedside shift reports, safety rounds, and participate in No Pass Zone and team management initiatives
Monitor telemetry and manage simple titration of drips as needed
Support care for patients undergoing autologous and allogeneic transplants, including CAR-T therapies
Float to other units as needed per traveler floating policy; rotate weekends as scheduled

Required Qualifications

Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of Oncology experience
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required prior to start
ONS Chemotherapy Certification required prior to start
PCU level of care competency required
Proficiency with Meditech documentation system or ability to adapt quickly

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior BMT experience strongly preferred
Ability to read telemetry and manage simple titration of drips
Experience with CAR-T therapy administration or monitoring
Excellent assessment skills with demonstrated competency in oncology nursing
