Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment approaches as appropriate
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team members to support comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
Required Qualifications
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Colorado or ability to obtain prior to start
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred or eligibility required
- Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current BLS/CPR certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment
- Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment, including modified barium swallow studies
- Familiarity with MDS documentation and skilled nursing facility regulatory requirements
