Travel: RN - Med Surg (Float Pool) - Nights

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (3x12) | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for assigned patients, maintaining professional accountability throughout.
• Involves patients and/or significant others in care decisions and documents educational needs and learning abilities in the computerized care plan.
• Develops and maintains a plan of care that includes identified problems, nursing diagnoses, interventions, and goals/outcomes with target dates.
• Performs patient hand-offs using patient safety tools (SBAR, Report at Bedside, etc.) shift-to-shift and interdepartmentally as directed.
• Communicates pertinent patient and family findings with multidisciplinary team members and participates in physician rounds as appropriate.
• Participates in process improvement activities including data collection, in-services, and meetings; completes mandatory competencies and education assignments.

Required Qualifications

• Current Oklahoma RN Licensure (or compact eligibility)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience in Medical Surgical or Critical Care
• Willingness and ability to float as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC EMR
• One or more additional certifications such as NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications
• Experience in a float pool or multi-unit environment
