Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (occasional 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM shifts as needed) | Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed | No Call
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care across all age groups, including patients presenting with cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health conditions
- Support a STEMI and Stroke-designated facility, contributing to time-sensitive cardiac and neurological emergency protocols
- Collaborate within a department that interfaces with specialty services including a cath lab, women's health, and stroke care
- Float to other system campuses as needed
- Complete a compliance EKG exam (up to 2 attempts allowed) as part of onboarding requirements
- Complete unit-based orientation modules (non-billable, averaging 2–4 hours, completed during orientation)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- STEMI and Stroke facility experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; current driver's license required to verify address
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for diverse and complex patient populations including oncology, sepsis, and behavioral health
- Familiarity with cath lab or women's health support workflows
- Experience in a high-acuity, multi-specialty emergency department environment
