Travel Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Travel
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 34-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio, managing cardiac, neurological, and progressive care patients
- Perform telemetry interpretation and continuous cardiac monitoring, including management of vasoactive drips within PCU/IMC scope
- Manage patients requiring high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, CPAP, chest tubes, and PCA pumps using Alaris IV infusion pumps
- Care for post-cardiac procedure patients and participate in rapid response events as needed
- Complete documentation accurately and timely using EPIC
- Adhere to patient experience standards including bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and patient-centered care practices
Required Qualifications
- Current, active RN License (must be valid for the state of assignment)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting
- Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and management of cardiac and neuro patients
- Ability to meet a 4-weekend shift requirement per 4-week period and participate in holiday rotation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with TEE and cardioversion procedures
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records documentation system
- Prior experience in a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, or Level II Trauma Center environment
- Strong rapid response experience and comfort in high-acuity, fast-paced settings
