Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality control measures on nuclear medicine equipment and devices, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and ensuring quality management programs for all procedures
- Confer with physicians to determine appropriate procedures and ensure effective operations
- Document all laboratory operations including receipt and disposition of radioactive materials, instrument and procedural quality control data, patient procedures, and medical records
- Operate Gamma cameras including SPECT/CT and PET/CT scanners, nuclear medicine computers, and Cardiac Stress equipment; administer intramuscular and intravenous injections and start intravenous lines
- Provide clinical instruction for radiology students and residents to ensure all healthcare providers are well informed of radiologic information
- Stay current with developments and trends in the nuclear medicine field through seminars, professional journals, and active participation in professional organizations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 24 months of current Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- Active permanent or temporary Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification from the Texas Medical Board
- Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with certification in Nuclear Medicine (N), or active CNMT
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
- Thorough working knowledge of nuclear medicine technology and related fields including chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biomedical sciences
- Basic knowledge of nuclear medicine therapeutic treatments and EKG for cardiac studies
- Local candidates are welcome; candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility will be subject to a local pay rate

- Siemens imaging system experience
- Spectrum Imaging experience
