Travel RN – Labor & Delivery

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for laboring patients in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit, maintaining patient ratios of 1:1 or 2:1 for laboring patients, 2:1 for APU, and 2:1 for PACU
• Perform and interpret Continuous Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) using GE core metrics and NOVI wireless FM systems
• Assist with and recover patients following vaginal deliveries and Cesarean Sections, including PACU recovery
• Support antepartum care and testing within a 13-bed Maternal Assessment Center for triage of pregnant patients
• Administer and monitor medications and protocols including Pitocin, Cervical Ripening agents, Magnesium Sulfate, Hydralazine, and Labetalol per unit policy
• Collaborate with 24/7 ancillary services including Anesthesia, Neonatal, Laborist, and Hospitalist teams

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or eligibility) in the state of Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
• AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Proficiency with EMR systems (CPN/Centricity and/or Meditech preferred)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• OR Circulation experience for Cesarean Sections
• Experience with placement of Fetal Scalp Electrode (FSE) and Intrauterine Pressure Catheter (IUPC)
• Familiarity with Hill-Rom birthing beds, Alaris IV pumps, Panda warmers, and CADD Solis epidural pumps
