Travel RN – Labor & Delivery

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for laboring patients at a 1:1 or 2:1 ratio, antepartum patients at 2:1, and PACU patients at 2:1
- Support and assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and PACU recovery
- Perform antepartum care and testing, including continuous electronic fetal monitoring using GE core metrics and NOVI wireless FM systems
- Operate unit equipment including Hill-Rom birthing beds, Alaris IV pumps, Panda warmers, and CADD Solis epidural pumps
- Follow established protocols for Pitocin, cervical ripening, Magnesium Sulfate, Hydralazine, and Labetalol administration
- Document patient care using CPN (Centricity) and Meditech EMR systems
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid for practice in Texas
- AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with OR circulation for cesarean sections
- Proficiency in placement of fetal scalp electrodes (FSE) and intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC)
- Familiarity with CPN (Centricity) and/or Meditech EMR platforms
