Key Responsibilities
- Hold shift accountability for providing patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of care
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff; provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
- Provide care to LTAC/Telemetry patients, including those requiring ventilator and tracheostomy management and central line monitoring
Required Qualifications
- Active Tennessee RN license or multi-state compact RN license (must be provided at time of submission)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required — must be issued through the American Heart Association and attached to submission
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in LTAC or a related setting
- Demonstrated experience with ventilator and tracheostomy management, as well as knowledge of central lines
- Ability to manage patient ratios of up to 6:1
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Wound care experience is preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
