Contract | Full-Time | Days | 5x8 Hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday; every 4th or 5th weekend for orthopedic cases)
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments for patients with injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases
- Provide education and information to patients and caregivers to support recovery and self-management
- Participate in required discharge planning and complete all required documentation according to policy
- Direct patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance functional performance
- Conduct approximately 6–7 weighted visits per day within a home health setting
- Mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate for travel between patient visits
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia Physical Therapist State License required (pending licensure may be considered)
- CPR certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience
- Virginia license or compact license must be in hand at time of submittal — no exceptions
- No prior license or background hits will be accepted — no exceptions
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (permanent address required with profile submission)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior home health physical therapy experience strongly preferred
- Experience with MatrixCare or Epic EMR systems
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
