Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Weekends required; scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
- Deliver emergency nursing care across a broad patient population, including pediatric patients
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Work 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required by unit scheduling
- Complete specialty-specific orientation modules during onboarding as directed
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS required prior to start
- TNCC required (may submit with TNCC pending, but must obtain before start date)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or at least 2 years of Level 2 trauma experience, including some pediatric experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursys verification required at time of submission
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN preferred
- Experience in a high-volume or academic medical center emergency department
- Broad trauma and pediatric emergency nursing experience
