Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend Required | No Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a busy 36-bed General Medical-Surgical unit with quick patient turnover, including timely discharges and admissions
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6, which may occasionally require 1:7 depending on census
• Care for a patient population that may include post-operative orthopedic and general surgery patients
• Float as needed — rarely required; may occasionally float to the ICU to manage Medical-Surgical overflow or Step-Down patients
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Mindray Telemetry System for documentation and patient monitoring
• Adhere to facility dress code: Royal Blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Candidates must be submitted through an agency registered with the State of New Mexico — fingerprinting is required for all New Mexico travelers and may take several weeks to process

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR and/or Mindray Telemetry System
• Comfort with floating to ICU-level or Step-Down patient assignments
